Rules for stays in Pet Friendly Apartment
The stay of pets at The Nest by Cooking and Nature is subject to compliance with the following rules:
- Only pets (dog or cat) of small and/or medium size up to 20kg are accepted (validated by vaccination report) , a maximum of two animals per Apartment.
- In the case of guide dogs, weight or size restrictions do not apply.
- Dogs of potentially dangerous breeds are not accepted (Dec-Law 315/2009).
- It is the customer's responsibility to inquire in advance about availability for booking, mentioning the breed and weight of the pet. In the absence of this prior request, the hotel reserves the right to refuse check-in.
- It is only allowed to assign an apartment with a pet in the type Apartment Hedgehog or Apartment Plus Arbutus Butterfly.
- The owner of the pet assumes compliance with Portuguese legislation, such as having an updated vaccination card, having a microchip, registration and license and also ensuring that the pet is free of parasites and in good health.
- Allowed access for the animal to the outside area of the apartment and the lawn area. Access or stay in the common interior area and pool area is not allowed, only in the green/lawn area. It is of the utmost importance to respect the spaces that they must use and respect the other guests.
- The pet should never be left alone, without the company of the owner.
- The owner is responsible for cleaning up his pet's waste around the entire outer perimeter of the hotel.
- The guest must arrange with the Reception team the schedule for cleaning the apartment, subject to availability. The pet must not be in the apartment at the time of the cleaning and tidying service.
- The hotel will request the immediate departure of any animal that exhibits dangerous or unacceptable behavior (biting, scratching, barking excessively, apparent illness, urination or defecation in public areas), without any reduction in the value of the agreed pet friendly rate and stay.
- The owner of the pet is responsible for all material and personal damage caused by the animal's action and agrees to assume the costs generated from any claims or damages related to their pet in relation to the hotel, employees, guests or other customers.
- The stay of a pet has an added value in the Apartment rate of €35.00, per night, per pet. Will have included: Feeder, Drinker and Plastic Bags. Owners are responsible for bringing their pet(s) bedding, as well as their food. These are not provided by the Hotel.
- After confirming your reservation, the customer must go to the reception, where the pet cannot enter, must remain in the outer area, and must present the respective vaccination bulletin and sign the animal policy document, agreeing as well as compliance with the established norms.
